According to records at 4:30 this morning, domestic coffee prices continued to increase sharply. The average purchase price has reached 129,900 VND/kg, an increase of 2,400 - 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Of which, Dak Lak and Dak Nong reached the highest mark: 130,000 VND/kg. Lam Dong is at 129,000 VND/kg, and Gia Lai is at 129,700 VND/kg.

This increase is considered due to the sudden increase in demand from China, while the supply has not been replenished in time due to the dry weather. Key coffee production areas such as the Central Highlands are facing difficulties in water resources, affecting the productivity and quality of coffee beans.

It is forecasted that in the coming time, coffee prices will continue to increase due to scarce supply. Coffee producers and exporters need to quickly find solutions to ensure supply, stabilize prices and meet the growing demand in the market.

News, forecast of coffee price tomorrow 5/5/2025 continues the increasing streak

According to updated information from Giacaphe.com this morning (May 5, 2025), coffee prices in key provinces in the Central Highlands region have suddenly increased, increasing from 2,400 - 2,800 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Currently, the average purchase price is at 129,900 VND/kg.

Specifically, today's coffee prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong reached the highest level of 130,000 VND/kg. Coffee prices in Lam Dong were at 129,000 VND/kg, while Gia Lai recorded a price of 129,700 VND/kg.

Experts believe that this unexpected price increase is due to the strong increase in demand for coffee from the Chinese market, while domestic supply has not been able to replenish due to the impact of prolonged drought. Key coffee production areas such as the Central Highlands are facing difficulties with water resources, affecting the productivity and quality of coffee beans.

It is forecasted that in the coming time, domestic coffee prices will continue to increase due to scarce supply. Coffee producers and exporters need to find solutions to ensure supply, stabilize prices and meet the growing demand in the market.

With its great potential and long history, Vietnamese coffee has every chance to conquer the most demanding markets in the world. However, to truly reach the world, this industry needs to focus on building a sustainable production chain from farming to processing.
