A representative of the Department of Construction said that preliminary statistics showed 7 landslides, including 4 major landslides in Cam An commune. At the scene, soil, rocks and water flowed onto the roadway, causing traffic congestion. Many sections had negative slopes and damaged guardrails.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Department of Construction requested the road maintenance unit to dispatch personnel and machinery to the scene, urgently clear soil and rocks, and fix the landslide.

Provincial Road 9 is 56.3km long, connecting National Highway 1 (Nam Cam Ranh Commune) with Khanh Son Commune. The entire route has a roadbed width of 6.5m to 26m. During the rainy and stormy season, landslides occasionally occur on the route, causing traffic obstruction.
