According to TTVXN reporters in Buenos Aires, from May 31 to June 2, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in Argentina (ACBA) visited and worked in Entre Ríos province with the aim of promoting trade and investment cooperation between the two sides.

The ASEAN delegation, including Ambassadors from Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, had a working session with Governor of Entre Ríos Province, Mr. Gustavo Bordet; Mayor of the capital city of Paraná, Mr. Adan Bahl; and leaders of departments, sectors, and large enterprises in this central Argentine region.
At the meeting, Governor Gustavo Bordet emphasized that ASEAN countries are reliable and important trading partners of this locality. The leaders of Entre Ríos province expressed their desire to expand and increase trade exchanges with ASEAN countries, especially in areas such as agriculture , renewable energy, tourism and education and training.
In particular, Mr. Bordet said that the delegation of three central Argentine provinces, including Córdoba, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos, visiting Vietnam last November to promote economic and trade relations was a vivid demonstration of the potential for cooperation in all aspects between this South American country and ASEAN countries, in which cooperation at the local level plays an important role.
The Governor of Entre Ríos Province also expressed his honor to have the time of the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Vuong Dinh Hue, during his official visit to Argentina last April, thereby showing that Vietnam is ready to open its doors to welcome localities of this South American country, including Entre Ríos. Governor Bordet expressed his hope that Vietnam will soon open its market to citrus fruits and pork products from Entre Ríos Province.
On behalf of ACBA as the rotating Chair of the group, Thai Ambassador Krit Tankanarat affirmed that the cooperation opportunities between ASEAN and Entre Ríos are huge, and expressed that both sides need to take advantage of their existing strengths to further promote cooperation and investment relations.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Duong Quoc Thanh affirmed his readiness to act as a bridge for the government and business community of Entre Ríos province to access and explore cooperation opportunities as well as connect with Vietnamese partners.
In response to the desire of the Panará city government to establish relations with localities rich in historical and cultural traditions of Vietnam, Ambassador Duong Quoc Thanh said that he would support connecting Panará with Hue city, and at the same time proposed that the two localities promote people-to-people exchanges, in which Panará would send artists to participate in the Hue Festival in the coming time.
During the visit, the ASEAN ambassadors also had a working session with the leaders of the Entre Ríos Grain Exchange; visited the industrial zone of the city of Paraná and exchanged opinions with students of universities in the province.
