Regarding automation, the company has invested in developing underground communication services, including mobile phone systems and cameras using Wifi waves; installing centralized control systems for coal screening and transportation lines; image monitoring, mine gas monitoring, main fan stations. In addition, the hydraulic rack system, ZRY soft rigs have been put into use for 11 longwalls, 2 synchronized mechanized longwalls (medium and light), EBH-45 tunnel excavator, anchor drilling robot... In the field of information technology, the unit has deployed E-office executive document management software with integrated digital signatures; Esoft Financial accounting; Esoft Salary materials; Esoft salary human resource management; GPS monitoring software; Methane 8 mine gas monitoring; Solaris software to control CO, CH4 gas measuring head locations...
Recently, the company also organized a training course on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, aiming to optimize management and enhance digital transformation. Expanding AI training for the leadership team not only strengthens the technology foundation, but also demonstrates the strategy of "covering" AI, effectively implementing the "Digital Education for All" movement throughout the unit.
Mr. Cao Viet Phuong, Acting Director of the Company, said: The unit frankly acknowledged that there is still a lot of work to do and will have an overall strategy and detailed plan for digital transformation. Such as expanding the scope of information technology application; investing in high-quality human resources and in-depth training for not only staff but also technical workers; connecting, interconnecting, synchronizing infrastructure and management software...

According to Plan No. 162 on the implementation of TKV's Digital Transformation Project in 2025, the Boards/units are assigned to carry out 10 groups of tasks with a total of 41 tasks. The first 9 months of the year show positive changes in the awareness and actions of the units. Awareness of compliance with the requirements for reporting digital transformation has been significantly improved with 57/59 units completing the report. The units have also focused on accelerating the progress of developing detailed plans. To date, 16/41 tasks have been completed, the remaining 25/41 tasks are being continued to be implemented, mainly in the group of utility tasks, applications serving the administration, production and operation of enterprises; the group of management and connection tasks; the group of production tasks.
To accelerate the implementation of digital transformation tasks in the coming period, Thong Nhat Coal Company has issued a plan to respond to the movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" and "Digital education for the masses". Accordingly, cadres and employees are encouraged to study and acquire new knowledge about science and technology, digital transformation and innovation. Departments and divisions promote research and application of science and technology, increase the application of technical solutions, advanced technology, automation, artificial intelligence, big data analysis (Big Data) to rationalize production, save costs, contribute to improving production and business efficiency... Build a security system, prevent risks, create a solid foundation for the digital transformation process. At the same time, improve the quality of human resources by promoting training, fostering, improving qualifications and digital skills for 100% of employees, especially the young workforce.

According to Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, General Director of the Group, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of TKV, digital transformation is the key to improving management capacity, optimizing production and business processes, towards the goal of sustainable and effective development of the Group. The Group's leaders have requested that from now until the end of the year, the support teams and units continue to closely follow Plan No. 162 in the spirit of clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products, clear authority, to implement.
In particular, focusing on key contents: Continuing to promote training, recruiting high-quality human resources, applying AI; boldly proposing a specific salary mechanism to attract human resources for the digital transformation field; researching cooperation options, promoting international cooperation; paying attention to directing the implementation of IRP enterprise resource planning software; urgently deploying AI camera applications in management and production operations at key locations; investing in meeting room equipment, telecommunications infrastructure, information security to ensure stable operation and quality of online meetings; strengthening reporting regime at work.
