Young people are leading the way in spreading the "Popular Education Movement".

Responding to the "Digital Literacy Movement" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Youth Union and Youth Association branches at all levels in the province are implementing many practical models and activities to popularize digital knowledge among the people, contributing to improving digital transformation capacity in the community and opening up opportunities to access technology for all social strata.

The "Popular Digital Literacy Movement" for the period 2025-2027 will be launched nationwide in February 2025, aiming to concretize Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. With their youthful energy, dynamism, and ability to adapt quickly to technology, youth union members will become a pioneering force, playing a core role in disseminating information, guiding, and supporting people in using digital utilities in their daily lives.

Youth union branches at all levels are actively guiding people to access and use digital applications.

In Phu Tho province , the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Federation of Youth Associations have issued a plan to implement the movement in 2025, focusing on establishing "Digital Literacy Teams" at the grassroots level, with youth union members as the central force in the campaign to disseminate digital knowledge to the community. Team members receive systematic training in information technology skills, from using computers and smart devices to accessing the Internet, and using applications, software, and social networks in a civilized and safe manner. Simultaneously, young people also guide people in identifying and avoiding harmful information, warning against online scams, and contributing to building a healthy digital environment.

Beyond just basic skills training, these teams also help people and households access reputable domestic e-commerce platforms, train them in online sales skills, cashless payments, and how to utilize digital applications for production and business. This knowledge is imparted through direct instruction sessions at cultural centers and community centers, using a "hands-on" approach to ensure people can easily understand and apply it immediately.

At the end of April 2025, the Standing Committee of the former Vinh Phuc Provincial Youth Union organized a training course to enhance skills in promoting digital transformation and using online public services for nearly 160 Youth Union officials from schools and student associations. During the program, Mr. Le Cong Thanh, founder of InfoRe Information Technology Joint Stock Company and one of the pioneers in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in Vietnam, shared valuable knowledge about the development of AI technology and its potential applications in daily life.

He also introduced the "AI Digital Literacy for the People" model, opening up a new approach to knowledge for young people in the technological age. In particular, all trainees in the course were awarded scholarships for a course on AI, providing them with the opportunity to directly experience and acquire in-depth knowledge about artificial intelligence.

With the support of the youth union, people in the area are gradually becoming proficient in using digital technology applications to serve their personal needs.

Continuing this initiative, from May 2025 to the present, "Digital Literacy Classes for the People" have continued to be widely organized in both in-person and online formats. Online classes are implemented on digital platforms, expanding reach and connecting a large number of people and young people in various locations. During this same period, the Provincial Youth Union also organized an online competition to learn about Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo, contributing to spreading awareness about science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation within the community.

The specific and practical activities of the "Digital Literacy Movement" are gradually helping people become familiar with and apply technology to their work and lives, improving labor productivity, expanding job opportunities, and contributing to the building of a digital government, digital economy, and digital society. At the same time, the movement affirms the pioneering and innovative role of youth in the national digital transformation process.

In the coming period, the Youth Union and Youth Association branches at all levels in the province will continue to expand digital transformation training courses, build a free digital learning materials system for young people and citizens, and improve the quality of activities of the "Digital Literacy Teams". With a pioneering spirit and a desire to contribute, the youth of Phu Tho are contributing to realizing the goal of popularizing digital knowledge, making digital transformation a driving force for sustainable development of the locality and the country.
