The VFF delegation had a working session and a field survey with the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) on the plan to host the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Football Championship.
At the meeting, HFF presented its plan to host the tournament, including the proposal to use three stadiums: Thong Nhat Stadium, District 8 Stadium and Phu Tho Stadium. HFF also proposed logistics plans, facilities, plans to provide medical services, transportation, security, volunteer arrangements and media.

HFF representatives expressed their desire to organize the tournament on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), as a historical sporting event, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity in the region.
After discussion, VFF agreed to assign HFF as the host, and at the same time requested HFF to ensure full compliance with the standards of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) and coordinate to request permission from relevant authorities.
Immediately after the meeting, the working group conducted a site survey at the proposed locations, including competition venues and functional rooms serving the teams, referees, supervisors; hotels for the teams, AFF officials and the Organizing Committee. HFF pledged to do its best to organize the tournament successfully, bringing a professional and effective image to women's football in the region.
The tournament will take place from June 9 to June 18, 2025 with the participation of 8 teams: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Timor Leste and host Vietnam.
