Organizing the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival solemnly, on a large scale, professionally and with wide influence

According to the report of the City Party Committee, the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025 has many new features, the scale is raised compared to previous years. This is a traditional festival of Hai Phong, recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2012.

This year, the festival is associated with the event of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.

The festival's focus will take place on October 7, 2025 (ie August 16 of the lunar calendar) with a series of activities: The 725th death anniversary of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan; The 583rd death anniversary of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai; Opening of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025; The seal opening and granting ceremony of Saint Tran; welcoming and promoting the event of UNESCO's recognition as a World Cultural Heritage.

The festival is elevated with a unique and spectacular art program, live stage and modern sound and lighting technology, 3D mapping projection.

The new point of this year's festival is to introduce new tourism products exploiting 5 relic sites: Con Son Pagoda, Kiep Bac Temple, Thanh Mai Pagoda, Kinh Chu Cave, Nham Duong Pagoda belonging to the World Cultural Heritage Complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac, along with accommodation, dining and experience services according to 3 themes "A journey - 5 World Heritage destinations", "Following the footsteps of the Three Patriarchs of Truc Lam" and "Discovering the Con Son - Kiep Bac Heritage". In addition, the craft village space will organize performances by artisans for visitors to experience product making.

2025 is also the first time the festival will be held after the merger of Hai Phong and Hai Duong, with an expanded scale, more diverse locations and spaces. The total estimated budget for the festival is more than 37,566 billion VND.

After listening to comments at the meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau agreed with the policy of organizing the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025, and emphasized that this is a special cultural and spiritual mark; a breakthrough in the next term, one of the driving forces for sustainable tourism development, spreading the image of Hai Phong - a civilized, friendly, and livable Port City.

The City Party Secretary assigned the City Party Committee and People's Committee to fully absorb and synthesize the opinions at the meeting to continue perfecting the plan; focus on communication and promotion work to make the festival a typical cultural event, spreading heritage values; at the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure the progress and quality of the items, maintain solemnity, civilization and safety throughout the festival.

Units need to continue to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to ensure the festival is organized solemnly, on a large scale, professionally and has a wide influence.
