On the morning of June 2, news from the Departmentof Education and Training of Da Nang City said that the entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year (taking place on June 2, June 3 and June 4), the whole city had 16,500 candidates registering for their first choice and 16,479 candidates registering for their second choice. Meanwhile, the quota allocated to 21 public high schools in the area was only 11,616 (324 candidates were admitted directly).
The total number of candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Da Nang is 1,535 candidates (including 6 candidates from Quang Nam province).
This year, Da Nang City has 33 exam sites with 679 exam rooms for the 10th grade entrance exam. In addition, there are 2 exam sites for candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted with 68 exam rooms.
On June 2, candidates will take the Literature exam in the morning for 120 minutes, starting at 8:00 a.m.; Foreign language exam in the afternoon for 90 minutes, starting at 2:30 p.m. On June 3, candidates will take the Math exam in the morning for 120 minutes, starting at 8:00 a.m.
According to the reporter, the exam took place safely and orderly on the morning of June 2. However, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City, on the morning of June 2, there were some cases of candidates having health problems.
At the Thanh Khe High School exam site (Thanh Khe District), a candidate had just broken his right arm and was unable to hold a pen to do the test. At the Phan Chau Trinh High School exam site (Hai Chau District), a candidate had just broken his leg and had difficulty moving. At the Nguyen Thuong Hien High School exam site (Lien Chieu District), a candidate had to undergo surgery before entering the exam room.
The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City has directed testing locations to support and create the best conditions for candidates with health problems to complete the exam.
