List of 12 public grade 10 admission areas in Hanoi

Hanoi has 12 areas enrolling students in public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

In order to serve the registration of admission wishes to grade 10 public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi divides districts, towns and cities into 12 admission areas.

12 recruitment areas in Hanoi are specifically as follows:

Admission area 1 includes Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts.

Admission area 2 includes Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung districts.

Recruitment area 3 includes Dong Da, Thanh Xuan and Cau Giay districts.

Recruitment area 4 includes Hoang Mai district and Thanh Tri district.

Recruitment area 5 includes Long Bien district and Gia Lam district.

Admission area 6 includes Dong Anh, Soc Son and Me Linh districts.

Admission area 7 includes Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem districts and Hoai Duc and Dan Phuong districts.

Admission area 8 includes Phuc Tho and Ba Vi districts and Son Tay town.

Admission area 9 includes Thach That and Quoc Oai districts.

Enrollment area 10 includes Ha Dong district and Chuong My and Thanh Oai districts.

Admission area 11 includes Thuong Tin and Phu Xuyen districts.

The 12th grade enrollment area includes Ung Hoa and My Duc districts.

The division of enrollment areas aims to ensure the most favorable conditions in terms of administrative boundaries, helping students not to have to travel too far to go to school.

Students should note that according to regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, each student can register to apply to a maximum of 3 public high schools, ranked in order of preference 1, preference 2 and preference 3.

In which, wish 1 and wish 2 must be in the same enrollment area according to regulations; wish 3 can be in any enrollment area.

Based on specific conditions of geographical location and learning capacity, students choose schools to register their admission wishes accordingly.

The 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 7 and 8 with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.

This school year, Hanoi has about 127,000 junior high school graduates, a decrease of nearly 6,000 compared to last year. The total quota for public schools is 79,000. Thus, the rate of students passing the public high school entrance exam is more than 60%.
