Honoring outstanding young Vietnamese doctors in the digital age

On May 10, in Hung Yen province, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association held a ceremony to honor 10 outstanding young Vietnamese physicians and 10 promising young physicians for the 2023-2024 period.

These are outstanding faces, with outstanding contributions in the fields of digital transformation in healthcare , science and technology and innovation. The commendation ceremony took place under the meaningful theme: "Young doctors take the initiative, strive in the digital age".

10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Doctors and 10 Promising Young Doctors for the period 2023-2024.

The ceremony is not only an opportunity to recognize the important contributions of young doctors but also to demonstrate a vision for the future, when medicine and technology combine to bring creative and effective solutions for people's health care.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang and First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy presented Certificates of Merit from the Central Youth Union Executive Committee to outstanding young doctors, hoping that they will continue to make efforts and contribute to the cause of community health care.

Among the 10 young doctors honored, we can mention Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Deputy Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi ; Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy, Deputy Head of the Tan Trieu On-Demand Treatment Department, K Hospital and Dr. Le Trung Hieu, Deputy Executive Director of the Organ Transplant Center, 108 Central Military Hospital, General Secretary of the Vietnam Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Association...

Among the outstanding faces, Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung is a shining example of dedication, passion and constant effort. Talking with Dr. Nhung, we learned more about the challenging journey of a young doctor.

Together with her colleagues, she has performed thousands of surgeries for cancer patients, children with congenital facial deformities and patients with facial paralysis. With a heart full of love for her profession and dedication, Dr. Nhung not only gives patients a new look but also creates new life opportunities, helping them overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Deputy Head of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Not only does she treat patients, Dr. Hong Nhung is also a dedicated medical researcher. Her research has contributed to the advancement of Vietnamese medicine, bringing great value to the domestic and international medical community.

Dr. Nhung has participated and reported at many domestic and international scientific conferences, where her research was highly appreciated, affirming the position of Vietnamese medicine on the regional and world map.

Sharing at the award ceremony, Dr. Nhung expressed her pride in witnessing Vietnamese medicine increasingly reaching international standards, especially in the field of plastic surgery.

She hopes that in the future, maxillofacial surgery will continue to receive attention and investment, so that more and more patients, especially children with congenital malformations, can receive early treatment and have the opportunity to live a fuller and happier life.

With all the professional experiences and journeys she has gone through, Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung always believes that, as long as she has enough passion, determination and love for the profession, anyone can overcome difficulties and challenges to devote themselves to the career of treating and saving people.

Not only a good doctor, Dr. Hong Nhung is also a dedicated teacher, a great source of inspiration for many generations of students and young doctors, especially female doctors.

She inspires them to continue pursuing their passion and firmly step on the challenging path of the medical profession. "Medicine always requires patience and sacrifice. But if you have passion and dedication, you will receive invaluable rewards. This job is not just a profession, but a mission," said the female doctor.
