The General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party used the most beautiful words to praise President Ho Chi Minh.

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), General Secretary of the Communist Party of Italy (PCI), Comrade Mauro Alboresi shared with the Vietnamese press about the love of Italian communists for Uncle Ho, as well as for Ho Chi Minh's ideology.

According to comrade Alboresi, Ho Chi Minh is a figure that cannot be left unengraved in the memory of all communists as well as all those who fight for freedom and independence. President Ho Chi Minh is a figure that leaves an impression on the history of humanity, not just Vietnam. Italian communists always have deep respect and feelings for him.

Communist Alboresi shared: "We feel the deep love of the Vietnamese people for Him, but it is also a love that we, the Italian people, especially the communists, also feel."

Ho Chi Minh is a figure who transcends national boundaries, transcends time and represents a reference point for all of humanity. "I truly believe that your President Ho Chi Minh is one of the greatest men in history and therefore I believe that he will live forever," Mr. Alboresi expressed.

Comrade Alboresi said that the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam is closely linked to the great leader Ho Chi Minh. Decades ago, Uncle Ho also came to Italy to talk about the need to develop independence and fight against colonialism and imperialism.

In Milan, he lived and worked at the Antica Trattoria della Pesa - this event is recorded on a plaque placed in front of the building today. This was an important period in the life of President Ho Chi Minh when he left his homeland to find a way to save the country, traveling to many different places in the world before returning to Vietnam in the early 1940s to lead the Vietnamese revolution to gain independence, defeat the French colonialists, achieve victory in the struggle against American imperialism and build a prosperous, modern Vietnam, bringing prosperity and happiness to the people.

The victorious struggle of the Vietnamese people raised high the “flag” of the struggle for freedom and showed Ho Chi Minh to be a great political leader. His ideology, together with Marxism-Leninism, became the compass for the entire international communist movement, and continues to guide the activities of Vietnamese communists.

Italian communists continue to study Uncle Ho and the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam with great interest and attention. Mr. Alboresi affirmed the support of Italian communists for the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially in the current context of many changes in the world.

The history of the Italian Communist Party, with more than 100 years of existence, has repeatedly mentioned Ho Chi Minh Thought and its greatness, and the experience of Vietnam.

The General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party stressed that Italian communists have always supported and appreciated the achievements that Vietnam has made, just as today, when Vietnam is entering an era of development. For Italian communists, President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam are still an example to follow.
