General Secretary and President To Lam attended the opening of the training course for planning cadres for the 14th Party Central Committee.

On the morning of October 14, in Hanoi, the Central Organizing Committee in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held the opening ceremony of the Training and updating of knowledge and skills for planning cadres of the 14th Party Central Committee (third class).

Professor, Dr. To Lam, General Secretary and President attended and delivered a speech.

Also attending were: Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, Head of the Class Steering Committee; Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, Permanent Deputy Head of the Class Steering Committee; Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Class Steering Committee and representatives of central departments, ministries, branches and agencies.

The Knowledge Update and Training Class includes 49 students, study time from October 14, 2024 to November 25, 2024.

Based on the assessment of the country's key issues in the current period, the Politburo and the Secretariat have selected 33 topics which are fundamental issues on the Party's ideological and theoretical foundation; Party, State and political system building; economic, cultural and social development; national defense, security and foreign affairs; and leadership and management science in the new context.

These contents are the result of careful research, summarizing valuable experiences from leaders and senior managers of the Party and State, practical activists, leading experts and scientists of the country.

In addition, the program also has a number of topics presented by foreign experts on experience in building a ruling Party, developing industries applying digital transformation, artificial intelligence, green transformation, and responding to climate change.

In addition, students will also go on field trips to research and learn about the "rhythm of life" at the facility.

All topics are arranged with discussion time, so that students have the opportunity to share their views and present their perceptions of the content of the thematic reports, thereby deepening the theoretical and practical issues involved.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that throughout the Vietnamese revolutionary process, our Party has attached special importance to cadre work and cadre training and fostering has always been identified as a key task in Party building.

President Ho Chi Minh always affirmed that cadres and cadre work are "very important" issues, "deciding everything" and "cadres are the root of everything," "training cadres is the fundamental work of the Party."

Since the 11th Congress, the opening of training classes to update knowledge for planning cadres of the Party Central Committee has been truly innovated and increasingly put into practice.

Practice shows that this is an important step in preparing personnel work for the Congresses and contributes to the success of the National Party Congress.

With the position and strength accumulated after 40 years of renovation and new development opportunities, our country is standing at a new historical starting point, striving to soon complete the 100-year strategic goals under the Party's leadership by 2030. The General Secretary and President stated that each comrade student is a nucleus playing an important role in contributing to bringing the country into a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise on the path to successfully building socialism.

To achieve this, it depends greatly on the quality of human resources, first of all, the team of strategic-level cadres must be trained, fostered with knowledge, skills, innovated thinking, vision, methods, working style, fully converging political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, capacity, prestige, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new revolutionary period.

General Secretary and President To Lam asked the students to uphold their sense of responsibility, make efforts to study, research, practice ethics and style; focus their time, effort and intelligence, together achieve the highest results, and successfully complete the entire course program.

The class is truly a forum for students to exchange and discuss in order to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of new theoretical and practical issues; at the same time, share experiences in management and administration of key officials of central agencies and provinces and centrally-run cities; acquire knowledge from the training class, and have a foundation to better fulfill political tasks at their agencies and work units.

General Secretary and President To Lam requested the reporters to participate in communicating and implementing the content of the Training Program in a truly effective manner, transforming knowledge into awareness and activities into strategic scientific thinking methods. It is necessary to pay special attention to promoting the initiative and creativity of students, focusing on interactions between the communicator and the researcher, implementing the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice," theory is closely linked to practice; regularly inspecting and supervising the learning process, training ethics and style of Party school students; creating all favorable conditions for students to complete their learning tasks well.

Organizing these classes is a responsibility, but also an opportunity for comrades to accumulate useful experience in organizing training and fostering activities and serve as a model for innovating the training and fostering of leaders and managers of the Party and State.

Emphasizing that this training course was carefully prepared, demonstrating the special attention of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat to the training and fostering of strategic-level cadres of the Party; the close coordination of many agencies and organizations in the entire political system, General Secretary and President To Lam believes that the training course will complete the set goals and tasks.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the course, respectfully thanked General Secretary and President To Lam for attending and giving a speech. These are messages, opening up breakthrough thinking, strategic orientations for the country to enter a new era, an era of rising up of the Vietnamese people.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, Deputy Head of the Standing Steering Committee of the course, affirmed that the course will be well organized, emphasizing the process of researching, exchanging topics, and updating not only knowledge and skills but also new working methods and thinking.

From the practical work of agencies, sectors and localities, students, through lectures and exchanges, contributed and prepared opinions to contribute to the process of building and perfecting documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

Representing the trainees of the Training Class, Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc, Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, seriously and fully accepted the opinions, directions, and assignment of tasks of the General Secretary and President; affirmed to always unite and help each other in studying and training, strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the Training Class Steering Committee to focus on studying, researching, and best completing the target program set forth by the Training Class Steering Committee.

When returning to their agencies, localities, and work units, students will strive, try, and be determined to complete their assigned tasks to the best of their ability.
