MISA General Director re-elected as Standing Member of VAA Executive Committee for Term VII (2024-2029)

At the National Congress of Delegates for the 7th term (2024 - 2029) and the 30th Anniversary Celebration (1994 - 2024), the new Executive Committee (EC) of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) was officially launched. MISA General Director Dinh Thi Thuy was re-elected as a member of the VAA Executive Committee for the 7th term (2024 - 2029).

The event was held on the morning of May 24 in Hanoi with the participation of former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Kien, former Minister of Finance Ho Te; Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi and experts, leaders of organizations in the accounting and auditing industry across the country. The congress was attended by 273 official delegates from 29 member associations across the country.

Also at the Congress, delegates elected the VAA Executive Committee for the 7th term (2024 - 2029) with the consistent viewpoint of: Trust - Professionalism - Development. Accordingly, MISA General Director Dinh Thi Thuy was re-elected as a member of the VAA Executive Committee for the 7th term. This is the recognition and appreciation of the Association's Executive Committee for her contributions and dedication in the past time. This re-election also demonstrates the Association's expectation that MISA will continue to actively contribute to the development and enhancement of the position of the accounting and auditing industry in Vietnam. Within the framework of the Congress, as a member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors, a member of the Council of the Academy of Finance, General Director of MISA Dinh Thi Thuy gave an urgent speech on the topic "Application of digital technology in accounting and auditing - The role of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors", emphasizing that digital technology is not only a trend but also the main driving force to promote development and improve efficiency in the accounting and auditing industry.

“Digital technology has fundamentally changed the way accountants and auditors work” – MISA representative affirmed. Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy pointed out 5 main roles of technology in the accounting and auditing profession: increasing efficiency and labor productivity; improving the quality of data and financial information; restructuring and optimizing the work process; enhancing the security of accounting data; opportunities to develop the Accounting - Auditing profession to new heights.

Ms. Thuy also emphasized the importance of applying outstanding technologies that have a positive impact on the current Accounting - Auditing industry. Outstanding digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and blockchain technology are also solutions to help the Accounting and Auditing industry increase efficiency, transaction processing speed and minimize financial risks. The General Director of MISA suggested that people in the industry should change their mindset to boldly apply digital technology, aiming to improve their position and become professionals who can provide strategic advice based on data analysis. In addition, Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy also introduced a number of solutions that apply the above digital technology solutions such as: MISA AMIS Unified Enterprise Management Platform, MISA ASP Service Accounting Platform, MISA meInvoice electronic invoice has integrated MISA AVA artificial intelligence assistant and operates entirely on a cloud computing system, which is especially useful for the Accounting - Auditing industry. Ms. Thuy commented: "Accountants - auditors need to improve their digital skills, accept change and cooperate to share knowledge to promote the industry's comprehensive and sustainable development". Also at the event, the General Director of MISA showed an animation film about the application of MISA AVA AI artificial intelligence to financial products.

In particular, the General Director of MISA highlighted the important role of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors in promoting digital transformation in the field of accounting and auditing. Ms. Thuy said that the Association will provide many resources and support to members through courses and guidance documents on digital technology. The Association will also create forums and workshops to share experiences and technological solutions, and promote legal support policies to create a favorable environment for the application of digital technology.

MISA General Director affirmed that the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors has a particularly important role in promoting digital transformation in the field of Accounting and Auditing.
