Responding to the Vietnam Law Day (November 9), departments, branches, sectors and 168 wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City organized many activities related to areas close to the people such as traffic safety, crime prevention, land, marriage - family, social insurance, fire prevention and fighting, labor safety... Thereby, helping people access legal information in an easy-to-understand, easy-to-remember, easy-to-implement way.
Spreading the spirit of rule of law
On the morning of November 6, the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Son Nhat Ward, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the State Legal Aid Center No. 1 and Ly Tu Trong College, Ho Chi Minh City to organize a conference to respond to Vietnam Law Day, November 9.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Huu Tot, Head of the Department of Legal Dissemination and Education, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice, said that 2025 is a special milestone for Tan Son Nhat Ward when it begins to operate a two-level local government model. According to Mr. Tot, this is both an opportunity and a challenge, requiring the ward's political system to innovate its operating methods, improve the effectiveness of State management, and move towards a professional, friendly, and people-serving administration.

In that context, the work of propaganda and dissemination of legal education is all the more important, helping cadres, party members and people clearly understand their rights and obligations, and live and work according to the Constitution and the law.
The Department of Justice recommends that the ward consider this a common responsibility of the entire political system, proactively innovate content, diversify propaganda forms, and pay special attention to spreading to the business community and people.

Mr. Lam Viet Thao, Vice Chairman of Tan Son Nhat Ward People's Committee, said that the annual Vietnam Law Day is organized in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Dissemination and Education of Law. This is an opportunity to review the tradition of respecting the law, affirming the role of law in social life and in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people.
Mr. Thao called on every cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker to uphold the spirit of exemplary compliance with the law. Agencies and units need to step up propaganda and dissemination of the law in diverse and creative forms, while schools should strengthen legal education for pupils and students, helping the younger generation understand and respect the law.

Tran Thi Mi (first-year student, Ly Tu Trong College, Ho Chi Minh City) shared that the activities at the conference were really meaningful, helping Mi broaden her understanding and acquire more useful knowledge about the law, especially the regulations that are close and related to daily life.
Sharing the same feeling, Truong Pham Khanh Vy said that Vietnam Law Day not only has its own meaning for the legal profession, but is also an important occasion for each citizen to appreciate and raise awareness of living and working according to the Constitution and the law.

Also within the framework of the conference, the State Legal Aid Center No. 1 presented gifts to students with the spirit of overcoming difficulties and studying well to encourage and motivate them to raise their sense of responsibility, understanding and compliance with the law to protect themselves and the community, for a democratic, fair and civilized society.




The conference took place with many rich activities: Propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Military Service, the Law on Youth; Safe Driving Day program to propagate the Law on Traffic Safety and Order, instruct on safe driving, experience safe driving and free oil change for 300 people; Mock trial on the crime of intentionally causing injury and the crime of disturbing public order; Legal advice and legal aid.

Legal education through mock trial
Also on November 6, the People's Committee of Tan Binh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City organized the Vietnam Law Festival 2025, attracting a large number of cadres, union members and people from 39 neighborhoods in the area to attend.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Khac Nguyen, Vice Chairman of Tan Binh Ward People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh City, said that Tan Binh Ward People's Committee also proactively deployed many activities in response to Law Day in diverse and practical forms such as organizing mock trials, law competitions, and propaganda via social networks...

According to Mr. Nguyen, in recent years, the work of disseminating and educating the law in the ward has had many innovations, spreading widely, contributing to raising people's awareness of law compliance, building a safe, disciplined and civilized living environment.
“In the coming time, the ward will continue to innovate legal propaganda work in the direction of putting people at the center; promoting the exemplary role of cadres and party members; strongly applying information technology and social networks in disseminating and educating the law; at the same time, replicating good models, creative ways of doing things, praising exemplary collectives and individuals,” said Mr. Nguyen.
Within the framework of the event, many activities took place such as: "Mock trial", Online contest to propagate the Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Law on Drug Prevention and Control, etc.
Notably, the mock trial reenacted a drug-related crime case undertaken by the Legal Advisory Team of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. With the roles of “judge”, “prosecutor”, “lawyer”, and “defendant” vividly portrayed, the participants, who were union members, women’s union members, and people in the neighborhoods, experienced the atmosphere of a real court, thereby better understanding the provisions of the law.




Through this activity, participants can identify illegal behavior related to drugs, understand the legal and social consequences that violators must bear; at the same time, form prevention skills, say "no" to drugs and stimulants.
Ms. Huynh Thi Diem Trang, Chief of Office of People's Council and People's Committee of Tan Binh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the mock trial is one of the highlight activities in the series of activities responding to Vietnam Law Day 2025 of the ward. From the stage of building the scenario based on real-life situations to the questioning, debate, deliberation, and sentencing sections... all were carefully prepared, realistic, attracting a large number of people to watch.

According to Ms. Trang, organizing a mock trial is a form of legal propaganda that is visual, vivid, easy to understand and easy to remember. This is also an activity that has educational and deterrent significance, contributing to preventing and stopping social evils from entering schools, forming the habit of living and working according to the Constitution and the law.
Spreading the spirit of "Living and working according to the law"
On November 5, the People's Committee of Tan Dong Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City organized a free legal consultation and communication conference, attracting a large number of people to attend.
The conference aims to provide legal information, answer practical questions and contribute to raising legal awareness in the community.

At the ward People's Committee headquarters, many people were present early to participate in the program organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice in coordination with the State Legal Aid Center No. 2 and the Tan Dong Hiep Ward People's Committee.
The conference took place with many practical and useful activities such as: legal support, legal propaganda to the people. It focused on newly issued legal documents in 2025, legal documents that are close to and of interest to many people such as the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, regulations on violations of the law in cyberspace, and food safety and hygiene. This has contributed significantly to raising awareness of law enforcement in the community.
