Ho Chi Minh City launches contest to create short media clips about the harmful effects of tobacco

Accordingly, hospitals, medical centers, health stations and other medical facilities in Ho Chi Minh City will create clips on tobacco harm prevention and send them to HCDC for the contest from May 22 to June 5, 2025, by uploading the clip to Google Drive (turn on public sharing mode). Then access the link hcdc.vn/videoduthipcthtl to fill in the information and enter the link of the contest clip.

After the deadline for receiving contest clips, the Organizing Committee will proceed to judge the preliminary round.

Clips that ensure professional content and technical requirements will be posted on the HCDC fanpage for the community to vote from June 12-18, 2025 and sent to the Jury for scoring.

The content of the clip should revolve around the communication issue of the harmful effects of traditional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco; active and passive smoking; preventive measures, especially for middle and high school students.

Maximum length of clip is 5 minutes, landscape format (16:9), minimum quality Full HD (1920x1080). In particular, the clip must be unpublished, not copied and the content must comply with current customs and laws.

After the scoring rounds, the Organizing Committee will award prizes to 07 excellent clips with the structure including 01 First prize (5,000,000 VND), 01 Second prize (4,000,000 VND), 02 Third prizes (3,000,000 VND/prize), 03 Encouragement prizes (2,000,000 VND/prize) and is expected to be awarded at the Conference on tobacco harm prevention program in July 2025.

The maximum score of the Jury is 110 points. Of which:

- Technical score: 60 points, including the criteria of attractive opening (10 points), beautiful images (20 points), reasonable techniques (20 points) and emotional reading voice (10 points)

- Professional score: 40 points, including criteria of clear and correct content (10 points), effective message (20 points) and call to action (10 points)

- Bonus points: 10 points, including content with MC (5 points) and creativity in script, technique, setting... (5 points)

The maximum fanpage voting score is 20 points.

- Video with the highest interaction: 20 points

- Video with Second and Third Interaction: 15 points

- Videos with Fourth, Fifth, Sixth most interactions: 10 points

- Other videos: 5 points
