According to the professional educational guidance of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in the 2024-2025 school year, the city will strengthen the application of information technology, digital transformation and orient students to learn about artificial intelligence, participate in English proficiency tests, and international standard information technology.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training requires Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted to continue to include artificial intelligence content in pilot teaching; students of specialized schools and high schools have specialized classes to learn mathematical models, understand AI algorithms, program and apply these algorithms to solve specific problems; learn new applications of AI in various fields, know how to work in groups and how to write scientific reports.

Teachers integrate basic knowledge about AI into lessons and teaching topics. Based on the content and specific requirements in the General Education Program and subjects, teachers will supplement and update knowledge related to the application of AI in some areas of life.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training recommends that schools enhance the English-speaking environment for teachers and students; implement co-teaching activities with foreign teachers where possible. Encourage students to take exams to obtain English certificates according to international standards.

Teaching Chinese, Japanese, and Korean in places where there is demand, conditions are met, and parents and students voluntarily participate.

To comply with the regulations of the 2018 General Education Program on experiential and career guidance activities, the Department of Education and Training directs schools to assign teachers according to their expertise. Continue to improve the quality of career guidance education in secondary education institutions, focusing on innovating the content, methods and forms of career guidance education; develop a team of teachers who are part-time consultants and career guidance teachers. It is necessary to mobilize social resources to participate in career guidance education, and strengthen career guidance counseling according to career orientation.
