Along with that, the whole city has 385 hectares of tea applying water-saving irrigation technology, contributing to improving productivity, product quality, and income for people.
In recent times, in addition to investing in tea processing, production facilities in Song Cong City have also proactively applied scientific and technological advances in packaging and preservation (using vacuum machines, aroma machines, cold storage), improving product designs, packaging, labeling for traceability... Thanks to that, the quality and value of the city's tea products from 2019 to present have had positive changes, with 10 products certified to achieve 3-star and 4-star OCOP.
Song Cong City currently has about 550 hectares of tea production, with fresh tea bud output reaching over 5,000 tons/year. Every year, the city has supported tea products to participate in many fairs and exhibitions in and outside the province, the "One Commune One Product" fair; coordinated with the Postal Service to bring OCOP-standard tea products to e-commerce trading floors (Postmart, Voso...), contributing to expanding the market, connecting product consumption for businesses and cooperatives.
