TPO - The meteorological agency forecasts that from August 3rd to 6th, Ho Chi Minh City will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain.
According to the Southern Vietnam Regional Meteorological and Hydrological Station, the current low-pressure trough has its axis passing through the northern part of Northern Vietnam, connected to a hot low-pressure system centered in Northern Vietnam. The southwest monsoon winds dominating the weather in Ho Chi Minh City are of weak to moderate intensity.
At higher altitudes, the subtropical high-pressure system, with its axis passing through the southern part of Central Vietnam and Southern Vietnam, slightly encroaches westward; it weakens around August 3-5 and becomes active again in the following days.

Forecasts indicate that rainfall will decrease in both area and intensity across the entire Ho Chi Minh City region during the first 10 days of August.
During the first week of the month, scattered showers and thunderstorms are common; specifically, from August 7th to 10th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; and from August 3rd to 6th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain. During thunderstorms, be wary of strong gusts of wind, tornadoes, and lightning.

Average temperatures were generally higher than the multi-year average (MYA) for the same period, ranging from 27-28.5°C. Maximum temperatures were commonly between 32-35°C; minimum temperatures between 24-27°C. Total weekly rainfall was generally lower than the MYA, ranging from 40-90mm.
Over the seas off Ho Chi Minh City, the weather will be characterized by scattered showers and thunderstorms. Be wary of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Southwesterly winds of weak to moderate intensity will prevail throughout the first 10 days of August, at approximately level 4-5.
