At nearly 3 p.m., the Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that thunderstorms were developing and causing rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in Hoc Mon district, Cu Chi district, and Thu Duc city (HCMC).

Rainfall is forecasted in the area from 5-15 mm, some places over 20 mm. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind around level 5-7 (8-17m/s), heavy rain causing localized flooding.

The thunderstorm situation in the area is due to the equatorial low pressure trough with its axis at about 4-7 degrees north latitude. Typhoon Yinxing (typhoon No. 7) is active in the northeastern part of the East Sea. The upper-level easterly wind disturbance is weak.
