Experience 'Thanh Tien paper flowers - Sinh village paintings' of Hue in Nghe An

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025), from November 14 to December 31, 2025, Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum in collaboration with Hue Fine Arts Museum will organize the exhibition "Connecting Nghe An - Hue Heritage Land" at Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum.

The exhibition displays and introduces works of art and displays some typical intangible cultural heritages such as: Hue singing art, Deng weaving of A Luoi, Sinh village folk paintings, Thanh Tien paper flowers of Hue and Nghe Tinh Vi Giam folk songs, Hoa Tien brocade weaving of Nghe An.

The exhibition introduces more than 100 paintings from the collections of the Hue Museum of Fine Arts, reflecting aspects of cultural heritage, landscape and people of Hue such as architectural works, cultural works, historical relics, scenic spots... At the same time, dozens of award-winning photographic works in recent years about the mountains and people of Nghe An are displayed, demonstrating the passion for art and love for the cultural heritage of the homeland of Nghe An artists.

In particular, the Exhibition also displays a number of typical intangible cultural products such as: Hue singing art, A Luoi Deng weaving, Sinh village folk paintings, Thanh Tien paper flowers of Hue and Nghe Tinh Vi Giam folk songs, Hoa Tien brocade weaving of Nghe An.

In particular, the unique highlight is the experience activity “Thanh Tien paper flowers – Sinh village paintings” appearing for the first time at Nghe An Museum – Nghe Tinh Soviet. Visitors will be able to directly make Thanh Tien paper flowers with the guidance of artisans, printing pictures from ancient woodblocks of Sinh village.

The heritage connection between two culturally rich lands, Nghe An - Hue, is expected to contribute to spreading and sustainably promoting the value of national cultural heritage in modern times.

Sinh Village painting craft has existed for more than 400 years, serving the ancient cultural and religious needs of the capital.
Thanh Tien paper flower making has been around for over 300 years. With its richness and diversity, Thanh Tien paper flowers are often used to decorate places of worship in homes, temples, shrines, shrines, altars of the Earth God, Kitchen God, etc., meeting the needs of folk beliefs and even the interior decoration needs of the people of Hue.
Deng weaving in A Luoi is a long-standing traditional craft of the Ta Oi ethnic group in A Luoi - a national intangible cultural heritage in 2016.
Hue Singing Art was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2015.
Nghe Tinh Vi-Giam folk songs were recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2014.
Hoa Tien brocade weaving is a traditional craft associated with the cultural identity of the Thai people in western Nghe An, and was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2025.
