Presenting 200 Tet gifts to Khmer ethnic minority people in Tri Ton district

On April 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations of Chau Lang commune (Tri Ton district) coordinated with two charity groups from Tan Chau town and Phu Tan district (An Giang province) to distribute 200 Chol Chnam Thmay gifts to poor, near-poor households and disadvantaged households of the Khmer ethnic minority in the commune.

Each gift is worth 500,000 VND, including necessities and cash. The total cost of the gift distribution is 100 million VND, supported by generous donors. The delegation also sent New Year wishes of peace, warmth and happiness to the Khmer ethnic minority people, wishing them a lucky and prosperous new year.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Lang commune also disseminated and popularized laws on traffic safety, theft prevention, food safety and hygiene for families and wished people a safe and economical preparation for the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year.
