Over 22 thousand customers receive preferential loans

In the first 10 months of 2023, 22,398 poor and near-poor households and policy beneficiaries in the province received preferential loans from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP). Since the beginning of the year, the entire branch has disbursed 13 credit programs, with loan turnover reaching more than VND 888.6 billion. Currently, the total outstanding policy credit balance in the province has reached VND 4,553.5 billion/125,890 customers with outstanding loans.

Thanks to policy capital, households in Phu Lai commune (Yen Thuy) have built clean water and sanitation facilities.

According to the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, in the past time, policy capital has been promptly transferred to beneficiaries in the area; credit quality and quality of savings and loan group activities have been maintained, sustained and well completed assigned tasks; credit targets have all been achieved and exceeded. Policy credit has helped over 3,500 workers to create jobs; 83 houses have been built; nearly 16,000 clean water works and household-scale sanitation works have been built. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to the implementation of the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security in the province.
