Gratitude to martyrs, free medical examination and treatment in Quang Tri

From August 2 to 6, the working group of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, Tinh Hoa Dat Viet Magazine, the Volunteer Group for Gratitude to Martyrs, and doctors of K77-83 of Hanoi Medical University coordinated with a number of units to organize a series of journeys to pay tribute to martyrs and provide medical examination and treatment to policy beneficiaries in Quang Tri.

This journey to pay tribute to martyrs and provide free medical examination and treatment was supposed to be held at the end of July, as one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025) and the 53rd anniversary of the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel (1972-2025). However, due to the impact of storm No. 3, the program had to be postponed to the first week of August.

In Cam Tuyen commune (now Hieu Giang), Gio An commune (now Con Tien commune), Nam Cua Viet commune (now Gio Linh commune). In addition to providing free medical examination, treatment, medicine, and gifts to 700 policy beneficiaries, the delegation also gave gifts and cash of 500,000 VND/gift to 100 relatives of martyrs.

During the working trip, the delegation offered incense to the heroic martyrs at the Road 9 Martyrs Cemetery, Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery, and held a requiem ceremony on the banks of the Thach Han River. Along with that, the delegation visited and presented 25 gifts to disabled children in Quang Tri.
