On November 7, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that it had approved the investment policy of the Halcom Hong Duc Wind Power Plant project, with a total capital of more than VND 9,127 billion and a designed capacity of 200 MW.
The project is deployed in the communes of Sen Ngu, Tan My, Truong Phu (located in the middle of Quang Tri province), with a survey area of 1,606 hectares, of which the land and water surface area with a term of use is about 70 hectares. The plant is expected to include 24 turbines, each turbine has a capacity of 4.5MW and 8.5MW, producing 549.4GWh of electricity per year.
Also according to the decision, Vingroup Corporation - Joint Stock Company has submitted a document requesting to implement the project and a project investment proposal (interested investors propose).
The goal is to effectively exploit available wind energy resources, provide green and clean electricity, contribute to ensuring energy security and reduce emissions that pollute the environment. The implementation location is located in the investment incentive area of Quang Tri province and this is a special investment incentive industry according to Decree 31/2021 of the Government .
Key milestones include completing investor selection within 3 months from the date of investment policy approval; completing investment preparation procedures within the next 3 months; and completing land allocation and lease within 6 months.
The factory is expected to be operational in 27 months from now.
Investors are required to use modern technology and equipment imported from countries with high technical level, ensuring safety, no environmental pollution and noise.
