The 5th Exhibition of Ho Chi Minh City and Friendly Provinces and Cities in Savannakhet

From April 2 to 6, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), together with the Department of Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Provincial Government, Department of Industry and Trade and departments of Savannakhet Province (Laos), organized the "5th Exhibition of Ho Chi Minh City and friendly provinces and cities in Savannakhet", with a scale of more than 250 booths.

The exhibition is held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 - March 22, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), and the 105th anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihan (December 13, 1920 - December 13, 2025).

The program "Exhibition of Ho Chi Minh City and friendly provinces and cities in Savannakhet" is an important event in promoting cooperation between localities of the two countries.

This year's exhibition welcomes the participation of more than 50 businesses from 7 localities of Laos, along with Vietnamese expatriates in Australia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and more than 130 businesses from the provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Long An , Gia Lai... and Ho Chi Minh City.

Besides the area introducing traditional Vietnamese - Lao cuisine , there are also many exchange, connection and promotion activities.

In particular, 5 Vietnam - Laos art exchange programs are held every night, with the participation of singers: Nguyen Phi Hung, Thuy Trinh, Duong Quoc Hung, Do Tung Lam, Trinh Bach Thuy, Mat Ngoc group, magician Duc Jocker, students of Ho Chi Minh City Dance College... performing many colorful song and dance performances: Oh Vietnam!, Beautiful Vietnam, Pieu Scarf, Walking in the Roaring Sky, Vietnam I Love, Beautiful Life, Lake on the Mountain, Too Much Love for Vietnam, Lao-Vietnamese Chay (Lao-Vietnamese Heart)...

With the exhibition, the theme of Vietnam - Laos Friendship displays 50 color photos with two contents: Ho Chi Minh City - Friendship, Comprehensive Cooperation with Lao localities and Ho Chi Minh City - Development, Civilization, Modernity.

Within the framework of the event, the Laos - Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Conference will also take place. This is one of the important events in the cooperation chain between Ho Chi Minh City and Savanakhet province, creating opportunities for businesses of the two countries to meet, exchange and learn about investment policies, as well as priority areas for attracting investment from specialized agencies of the two sides. Thereby, it is believed that this event will open up many new opportunities for both sides in promoting trade and investment, contributing to further tightening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
