Independence Monument - recreates the original of the historic Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The exhibition takes place from August 29 to September 3, 2025 at Nhan Dan Newspaper headquarters, Le Thai To street.

This is a program with profound meaning in arousing national pride, expressing gratitude for the 80-year journey of nation building and spreading the message of development aspirations in the new era.

A special highlight of the exhibition is “The Road to Independence” - recreating the revolutionary journey from 1930 to 1945, the period when the country overcame many challenges to bring power into the hands of the people.

The space is designed as a “historical flow”, including 8 important milestones. Each milestone is illustrated with documentary images, 3D blocks combined with LED lights, creating a visual and vivid effect.

In particular, each point on the Independence Road integrates a QR code that allows visitors to experience VR360 virtual reality space.

From Pac Bo Cave - where Uncle Ho began to lead the revolution; Tan Trao Banyan Tree - witness of the General Uprising Order; to the house at 48 Hang Ngang - where Uncle Ho wrote the Declaration of Independence and Ba Dinh Square - the historic moment on September 2, 1945.

With just a QR scan using a phone, the public can "enter" a 360-degree space, rotate to see the whole scene and truly feel like they are living in the sacred historical context of the nation.

The event was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Flag Tower - Symbol of Independence Autumn

Independence Monument - recreates the original of the historic Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

At the exhibition center, visitors will admire the model of the Independence Flagpole - a reproduction of the historic Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The flagpole was solemnly erected with a four-sided ladder structure, covered in red and yellow - symbolizing the sacred soul of the nation. On the flagpole, the image of Uncle Ho and his comrades in the Provisional Government was restored, recalling the immortal historical moment in 1945.

Accompanying this is a VR360 interactive screen that shows the entire Ba Dinh Square on National Day, so viewers can immerse themselves in the fiery atmosphere of tens of thousands of people in the capital exactly 80 years ago.

This will be a space that evokes strong emotions, bringing everyone back to the sacred moments of the nation.

Write a letter to the Fatherland on Independence Day - Stop to listen to the heart

The exhibition also brought an emotional moment with the activity "Writing a letter to the Fatherland on Independence Day"

Besides modern experiences, the exhibition also brings a touching moment with the activity "Writing a letter to the Fatherland on Independence Day".

In the space under the banyan tree of Nhan Dan Newspaper - a symbol associated with Hanoi's memories, visitors are invited to sit down, write their thoughts, and express their pride and love for their homeland in handwritten letters.

These letters are not only personal memories, but are also displayed in the exhibition as "witnesses" of the new era, where today's generation continues the aspiration to build the country.

After the event, all the letters will be selected and compiled into a book to be kept as part of the community’s memory. This is a thoughtful activity, creating an opportunity for the public, especially the youth, to not only “see history” but also “live with history” with their own true emotions.

In addition to interactive activities, the exhibition also has a special display cluster called “80 years of glorious country”, which systematizes the country's milestones from 1930 to 2025.

The space is designed with documentary photo pillars, art panels and red silk ribbons symbolizing the flow of history:

1930 - The Communist Party of Vietnam was born, lighting the fire of revolution.

1945 - The August Revolution succeeded, the Declaration of Independence gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

1954 - The Dien Bien Phu victory resounded throughout the five continents.

1975 - Liberation of the South, reunification of the country, the country was reunited.

1986 - The Renovation process opened a new page of development.

1995 - Vietnam joined ASEAN, international integration.

2025 – The whole country enters a new era, affirming the nation's strong aspiration to rise up

Not only a historical document, "80 years of glorious country" is also an artistic manifesto, affirming the mettle, intelligence and aspiration to reach the heights of the Vietnamese people.

The exhibition also applies modern technology with AR check-in activities and instant photo printing to attract people to participate.

“Rearranging the country” area

To make the event a "meaningful and attractive" destination, the exhibition also applies modern technology with AR check-in activities and instant photo printing.

In the "Rearranging the country" area, a prominent Vietnam map backdrop is designed, with QR codes for each province and city attached.

Visitors just need to scan the code, select the desired location, and the phone screen will immediately display the 3D AR icon of that province/city.

Attendees can pose for a check-in with the AR icon right in front of the backdrop, take photos and receive printed photos on the spot.

This is a harmonious combination of technology and emotion, turning each photo into not only a personal memory but also a message about territorial integrity and national solidarity.

The exhibition “80 years of glorious country - The Road to Independence” not only recreates the 80-year historical flow of the nation, but also opens up a modern, creative and interactive space where each citizen can proudly preserve their mark.

As a companion of Nhan Dan newspaper, Vietravel wishes to bring to the public an event that is both solemn and intimate, harmoniously combining historical values, cultural experiences, and modern technology applications.

Thereby, contributing to making this year's Hanoi autumn a special autumn: an autumn of national pride, of meaningful experiences and of strong spread in the community.
