On the afternoon of February 19, the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board held a ceremony to grant the investment registration certificate to the legal representative of Trina Solar Cell Company Limited, with a total investment of 454 million USD in Yen Binh Industrial Park. This is the third project of Trina Solar Group implemented in the province, raising the total investment capital of this enterprise in Thai Nguyen to 932 million USD.

Previously, Trina Solar implemented 2 projects in Yen Binh Industrial Park with a total registered investment capital of 478 million USD, including: Project to produce photovoltaic cells (solar panels), solar modules (investment capital of 203 million USD) and Project to produce silicon bars and monocrystalline silicon panels (investment capital of 275 million USD).

Following the success of the above two projects, Trina Solar Group has implemented and completed the procedures to apply for an investment license for the third project in Yen Binh Industrial Park, with a production scale of over 11,500 tons of monocrystalline silicon bars/year; 555 million monocrystalline silicon panels and 560 million solar panels/year; the land use area of the Project is over 141,000m2; the total registered investment capital is 454 million USD (equivalent to 11 trillion VND).
According to the plan, the project will start construction in May 2024; completed and put into operation from March 2025. After completing this project, the total output value of goods of Trina Solar Group in Thai Nguyen is expected to reach 2.7-2.8 billion USD/year; creating jobs for over 4,300 workers.
