During the Tet holiday, customers deposited 30.87 billion VND in cash into their accounts and made savings through new generation ATMs.

According to statistics from the State Bank of Vietnam 's Quang Tri branch, the province currently has 121 ATMs, including 15 new-generation ATMs with CDM and CRM functions (acting like an electronic bank teller, meeting customers' 24/7 transaction needs). These 15 machines, in addition to the features of regular ATMs, have the outstanding advantage of transferring cash into accounts and making savings deposits via the machine, similar to transactions at the counter. Thanks to this, during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake (2015), this new-generation ATM system received 4,665 customer deposits totaling 30.87 billion VND.

Currently, the autobank transaction channel on modern technology platforms, with features such as depositing money into payment accounts, depositing money to open savings accounts, transferring funds from payment accounts to open savings accounts, closing savings accounts, checking savings deposit balances, etc., is a powerful assistant for commercial banks.

Accordingly, customers no longer need to visit bank branches or transaction offices; they can open savings accounts through ATMs. Depositing savings via ATM is simple, convenient, and saves a lot of time.

The steps for depositing money via ATM are as follows: The customer inserts the card into the slot and enters the password; selects "Deposit into account" on the ATM screen; inserts the money horizontally into the slot below the screen, chooses whether or not to print a receipt, and receives the card back; the machine counts the money and displays a confirmation screen.

The machine will notify the customer that the cash deposit has been successfully processed, stating the amount deposited into the account, and then ask if the customer wishes to make any further transactions. If not, it will announce the transaction completion and return the card to the customer. Accepted denominations are 50,000 VND, 100,000 VND, 200,000 VND, and 500,000 VND, with a maximum of 200 banknotes per transaction.
