Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Agricultural Extension Center; Mr. Vo Trung Linh - Deputy Head of Da Huoai Agricultural Technical Station; Mr. Dong Hoai An - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cat Tien commune, and nearly 60 farmers in the area.

The model of corn production for animal feed in the Central Highlands provinces is part of the Central Agricultural Extension Program. The model has been evaluated as successful by functional units and people, suitable for local climate, land and cultivation conditions.
37 local households participated in building a model of growing hybrid corn (NK7328 Bt/GT) biomass on a scale of 28 hectares. People were supported with 70% of the cost of buying seeds, materials, fertilizers, and pesticides. In addition, hundreds of households inside and outside the commune were also trained and instructed on farming techniques.

Corn yield after planting and caring according to the process has changed significantly. Specifically, with 1 hectare of corn, the average biomass corn yield of households participating in the model increased compared to households outside the model by 8,000 kg/ha, an increase of about 17%. From there, the economic efficiency of households participating in the model increased compared to households outside the model by 17%. With the selling price of biomass corn from 900 - 1,100 VND/kg, the amount increased by about 7.2 - 8.8 million VND compared to outside the model. On the other hand, growing biomass corn will increase people's income more than growing corn for grain.
The conference is also an opportunity for farmers participating in the model to share, discuss and draw lessons for themselves, to better apply to corn cultivation. At the same time, participating enterprises and cooperatives can exchange and share to improve the quality of animal feed; local authorities understand the situation, thereby proposing directions for production development in the coming time.
