Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction requested the People's Committee of Phu Tho province to assign the Department of Construction to organize an inspection of the current status of the Lo River bridge project.
At the same time, the province directed the management and operation unit of Song Lo bridge and relevant agencies to organize quality inspection of the project, implement necessary measures such as restricting the use of the project, isolating dangerous areas or immediately repairing damage in case of risk of affecting the safety of use and operation of the project.
If necessary, the Provincial People's Committee needs to develop and adjust traffic organization plans in accordance with reality to ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling through this area.
The Ministry of Construction requested the People's Committee of Phu Tho province to report the implementation results to the Ministry before November 15.

The Ministry of Construction also assigned the State Appraisal Department to construction quality Monitor, guide and coordinate with the Department of Construction in organizing inspection and assessment of the quality and bearing capacity of the Song Lo bridge project.
The Vietnam Road Administration is responsible for guiding and coordinating with relevant agencies under the People's Committee of Phu Tho province in organizing the control of traffic vehicles passing through Song Lo bridge, traffic division, traffic organization and guiding people and vehicles traveling in both directions at the bridge head.
Recently, the press has reported on the quality of some pillars of Song Lo Bridge. seriously degraded, some concrete pillars have exposed load-bearing steel, affecting the safety of the construction.
On November 2, the Department of Construction of Phu Tho province issued a notice prohibiting cars from crossing the Lo River Bridge and only allowing 2-3 wheeled motorbikes, scooters (including electric motorbikes), rudimentary road vehicles and traffic participants to cross the bridge.
Vehicles traveling across Lo River Bridge must travel at a maximum speed of no more than 20km/h and must not stop or park on the bridge.
Construction of Lo River Bridge began in 2010 and was completed and put into operation in 2015. The bridge is 517.8m long, 7.5m wide, with a 6.5m wide roadway and 0.5m wide railings on each side.
The bridge consists of 9 spans, 8 piers and 2 abutments, of which the main girder consists of 3 continuous box girder spans made of prestressed reinforced concrete constructed by the balanced cantilever method; 6 approach spans made of prestressed reinforced concrete L-shaped girders.
