In difficult times, the Vietnamese team showed perseverance and impressive fighting spirit. Coach Giustozzi's students played proactively. The ability to create and take advantage of opportunities of Nguyen Thinh Phat and his teammates also improved compared to the Asian tournament.

Indonesian futsal has gradually regained its position in recent years. In the FIFA rankings, Indonesia is ranked 28th, 4 places higher than the Vietnamese team. They do not have good results in continental tournaments but are always on par with or better in the region than Vietnamese futsal.
