Through 100 art photos on display, photographers from the Dak Lak Province Literature and Arts Association told unique stories about gongs.

On the afternoon of November 18, at the Dak Lak Museum, the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association held the opening ceremony of the special exhibition Gongs - Unique cultural heritage of the Central Highlands ethnic groups.

Writer Nie Thanh Mai, Chairman of the Dak Lak Province Literature and Arts Association, delivered the opening speech at the exhibition.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, writer Nie Thanh Mai, Chairman of the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association, said: From ancient times until now, gongs have carried spiritual power and are a symbol of the entire people in their response to nature and the social environment; they are an important factor connecting the past, present and future of the community.

Each community and locality in the Central Highlands has its own differences and characteristics, but the ethnic groups always harmonize in the space of gong culture while still preserving the soul and cultural identity of their people.

According to the concept of the Central Highlands people, gongs are sacred objects. People believe that behind each gong, there is a god residing.

Responding to the Cultural Heritage Week of Dak Lak province's ethnic groups in 2025 " Echoes of gongs - connecting the community", the Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized an art photo exhibition on Gongs - Unique cultural heritage of the Central Highlands ethnic groups.

Through 100 works of art, photographers of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association told special stories about gongs. The highlight was the role and mission of gongs that have been closely associated with the people of the Central Highlands ethnic groups from ancient times to the present; gongs connect people with gods, with nature, and connect each person with the community.

Each photograph contains a lot of passion, emotion as well as the creative journey of artists over many years with gongs, the gong space with the life of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands.
