Northern "logistics gateway"

Located at the gateway to the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway, adjacent to major seaports and international airports, quiet but full of movement, VIDIFI Duyen Hai Logistics Center (VDH Logistics Park) is gradually shaping its position as a strategic link in the Northern logistics network, effectively connecting major industrial parks in Hai Phong, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and neighboring provinces with international seaports.

Talking to the Finance - Investment Newspaper reporter, Mr. Dao Manh Dang, Deputy Director of VIDIFI Duyen Hai, shared that the Center is not only a logistics service provider but also a strategic partner in building a sustainable and effective logistics ecosystem.

VIDIFI Duyen Hai’s outstanding competitive advantage is its comprehensive integrated model – one of the few logistics centers that simultaneously connects highways, seaports and international airports. This three-way connection not only shortens transit time but also minimizes cross-regional transportation costs.

With more than 70% of its customers being FDI enterprises, VIDIFI Duyen Hai is proving the appeal of the integrated logistics model. The presence of large corporations in the fields of manufacturing, import-export, and e-commerce here not only increases the economic value of the project but also creates a chain of links spreading throughout the region. In 2024, the occupancy rate in functional areas such as warehouses and offices will always be above 90%, with revenue growing by 5%.

Not stopping at the domestic market, VIDIFI Duyen Hai also actively expands transportation routes connecting with the ASEAN region and major markets such as China, Japan, and Korea.

Sustainable steps from choosing warehouse construction materials

In the context of the Vietnamese logistics industry facing pressure for green transformation, changes in environmental policies in major markets such as the EU, the US, etc., VIDIFI Duyen Hai has quickly positioned itself not only as a place to store goods, but also as a platform to promote green logistics.

Right from the infrastructure stage, VIDIFI Duyen Hai has integrated energy-saving solutions such as LED lighting systems, solar-powered roofs and environmentally friendly construction materials. The entire warehouse roof at VIDIFI Duyen Hai uses BlueScope COLORBOND corrugated iron to ensure factory durability, increase the life of the project thanks to its high corrosion resistance and good resistance to harsh Northern climate conditions. This material also has the ability to reduce roof temperature, limiting energy consumption.

VIDIFI Duyen applies digital transformation in operations

Not stopping at “greening” the infrastructure, VIDIFI Duyen Hai also invests in technology and digital transformation. Notably, the smart warehouse management system (WMS) not only helps track goods in real time but also supports data analysis to forecast demand, optimize space and minimize resource waste.

In particular, the company is particularly interested in investing in the application of IoT and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in management and operations. Specifically, IoT sensors help monitor temperature, humidity and electricity consumption in the warehouse, ensuring optimal storage conditions with the lowest energy consumption.

Meanwhile, AI supports the design of fuel-efficient shipping routes, and analyzes product life cycles so that businesses can proactively collect, reuse, or recycle goods, a key step in the circular economy development strategy - an essential factor for electronic goods or components.

“At VDH, we prioritize building sustainable, aesthetic and heritage-valued projects, while integrating WMS, IoT, and AI technology to adapt to the future,” said Mr. Dao Manh Dang, Deputy Director of VIDIFI Duyen Hai.
