University launches new admissions combination

Many universities add admission combinations to create more opportunities for candidates and to suit the new program.

In order to ensure the interests of candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program, Phenikaa University has just adjusted the admission subject combinations accordingly. Accordingly, the school added admission combinations with IT or science and technology subjects, such as: K01 (math - English - IT) or D84 (math - English - economic and legal education)...

Add many new subjects

The University of Mining and Geology increased the number of admission combinations from 4 to 8 after adding 2 subjects of technology and information technology. Mr. Nguyen Duc Khoat, Head of Training Department, said that the University of Mining and Geology added 2 subjects to the admission combination in some majors to match the new general education program, helping candidates have more opportunities to enter their favorite major.

If in previous years, the combination of subjects for admission based on high school graduation exam scores or V-SAT results was specifically regulated by Saigon University, this year, the school only "rigorously" regulates 2 subjects, the 3rd subject is chosen by the candidate (except for the majors of preschool education, art pedagogy, and music pedagogy).

Specifically, the admission method will use the results of the high school graduation exam, the remaining subject is one of the high school graduation exam subjects (math, literature, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, economic and legal education, information technology, industrial technology, agricultural technology), ensuring that the subjects in the admission subject group do not overlap. The new point is that this year, in the admission subject group, there are subjects that are multiplied by a coefficient of 3, or even 5, instead of just 2 as before.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education also added a new subject, industrial technology, to the admission combination of the following majors: Environmental engineering technology, food technology, chemical engineering technology, and communication technology.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology added new subjects to the admission combinations such as: Information Technology, Technology, Economic and Legal Education, French. Due to the addition of new subjects to the admission, this year, many majors have up to 8 admission combinations such as: Information Technology, E-Commerce, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, English Language, Chinese Language, Law, Economic Law. The remaining majors have admission combinations ranging from 4 to 7, ensuring flexibility for candidates.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also added two new subjects, economic education and law, to the admission combination for the economic law major...

Open many industries following new trends

Dr. Ha Thuc Vien, Vice Rector of Vietnam-Germany University, said that this year, the school opened two new majors: mechatronic engineering and economics. The current trend is to convert special equipment such as automobile systems from using gasoline to electric or hydrogen fuel. Therefore, this will be one of the majors that supports the training of new generation engineers, meeting the requirements of the country's development conditions as well as global trends. Economics is a basic science in the field of economics and management, which will train economic experts in the future.

In 2025, the University of Mining and Geology will enroll 58 training majors, including 6 new majors. These are: English language, Chinese language, materials engineering, space engineering, urban and construction management and mineral resource management. According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Ha, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Enterprises of the University of Mining and Geology, the opening of new majors of the school is based on a survey of stakeholders, especially the need for job positions in reality, meeting the socio-economic development.

Meanwhile, CMC University also opened a series of new majors such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, logistics and supply chain management, e-commerce, etc. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Vice Principal of CMC University, said that in addition to majors related to chip design which are in great need for the country's development needs, the school has opened an additional training program in smart robot technology. Regarding graphic design, the school has an additional training program in game graphics. This is one of the majors that also promises to attract many candidates.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Phu Khanh, Vice Principal of Phenikaa University, informed that in 2025, the school will open 8 new majors, including: law, business law, international law, international trade law, auditing, intelligent mechatronic systems, multimedia communications and midwifery. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Phu Khanh emphasized that these are majors that meet the needs of the labor market in rapidly developing fields such as communications, law, finance, technology, and health care; opening up more and better job opportunities for students after graduation.

100% scholarship for new students

Dr. Ha Thuc Vien said that Vietnam-Germany University will offer 100% scholarships to all students studying new majors.
