This tuition fee is not allowed to increase in 1 school year, but after only 7 months, it has increased by 12.84%.

With such tuition fees, can my friends and I survive the next 6 years of study when the school keeps increasing tuition fees? Not only for this year's students, but also for students admitted to the school in previous years, the school has increased tuition fees by a total of 180% compared to the original"...

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online about this issue, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan - Vice Principal of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy - said that the school had heard this feedback, however, the school's tuition increase for the school year was in accordance with current regulations.

Accordingly, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy is a public service unit, financially autonomous group I - self-insuring regular expenses and investment expenses, therefore, based on current regulations, the school determines tuition fees based on the tuition fee framework for public higher education institutions self-ensuring regular expenses and investment expenses. At the same time, it calculates the actual training costs of specific majors such as medicine, pharmacy, nursing, etc.

Tuition fee for the 2024-2025 school year: 1 credit is 1,760,000 VND, tuition fee is 27,600,000 VND/school year. The highest adjustment coefficient is 2.03 (the maximum coefficient according to regulations is 2.5 times) for the medical, pharmaceutical, and dental groups.

Tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year: 1 credit is 1,983,000 VND; tuition fee is 31,100,000 VND/school year (3,110,000 VND/month x 10 months), the highest adjustment coefficient is 2.03.

Thus, the tuition fee of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy for the 2025-2026 school year compared to the tuition fee of the previous school year increased by 12.67%, increasing by school year, not by 7 months. Based on Decree 81, the tuition fee increase this school year does not exceed the regulations (not more than 15%/year).

According to the leaders of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the school also understands the financial difficulties of students and families with children studying there. The increase in tuition fees is publicly announced on the school's website.
