Cuu Long University held a conference to implement an important resolution of the Politburo.

(NLDO) - Recently, Cuu Long University has been gradually improving from facilities to the teaching system.

On July 3, Cuu Long University held a conference to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation for all cadres, lecturers, experts, staff and workers in the school.

Attending the conference were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

Speaking at the conference, Distinguished Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Party Secretary, Principal of Cuu Long University - said that in the past 5 years, Cuu Long University has been gradually improving from facilities to the system of lecturers, especially the training curriculum no longer has to "borrow" the curriculum of other universities as before.

Instead, the school has been proactive in the teaching process, the teaching staff is gradually developing with 1,139 lecturers; including many professors, associate professors, doctors, masters, specialists...

The school has trained nearly 40,000 students up to now, the facilities have been upgraded significantly to ensure learning and practice up to 60% of the students' learning process at the school. Up to now, Cuu Long University is in the top 10 best universities in Vietnam.

"In the current digital transformation process as well as the process of operating and developing the country in the new era, high-quality resources are needed the most. This is an honor but also a responsibility for the lecturers and teachers of Cuu Long University in teaching and training talented people to meet the resources needed to continue building and developing the country in the new era" - Distinguished Teacher Luong Minh Cu emphasized.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, emphasized the key role of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the country's rapid and sustainable development.

At the same time, he highly appreciated the efforts of Cuu Long University in concretizing Resolution 57 and Resolution 45 on building a team of intellectuals, and suggested that the school continue to promote its strengths and actively contribute to the development of Vinh Long province and the Mekong Delta region.
