Cuu Long University awards graduation certificates to new full-time university engineers and pharmacists

GD&TĐ - On August 2, Cuu Long University held a closing ceremony and awarded full-time university degrees to 227 new engineers and pharmacists.

Attending the ceremony were Dr. Dang Thi Ngoc Lan - Vice Principal of Cuu Long University; Master Nguyen Van Thanh - Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors; leaders of departments, faculties, institutes and centers under the university.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dang Thi Ngoc Lan congratulated all the new engineers and pharmacists who completed the course. The Vice President of Cuu Long University emphasized: The 22nd regular university course opened on December 31, 2021, with 26 training majors in many different fields. After 4 years of studying and training with great efforts, up to now, 227 students have qualified to graduate; of which, the number of students achieving excellent and good grades accounts for a fairly high proportion.

“Today, you have officially entered a new stage, carrying on your shoulders the responsibility of engineers and pharmacists - those who will contribute to building a modern society, caring for and protecting public health, contributing to the sustainable development of your homeland and country. Hopefully, the new engineers and pharmacists will apply the knowledge they have learned into practice in a scientific and effective way, contributing to the development of the country,” emphasized Dr. Dang Thi Ngoc Lan.

This time, 227/261 full-time university students (engineering and pharmacy programs) of the 22nd course were eligible to be recognized as graduates, a rate of 86.97%; of which, there were 56 pharmacists. The graduation results were excellent for 7 students, excellent for 65 students, and fair for 143 students.

To recognize the academic achievements of students, Cuu Long University awarded 76 students with high achievements in studying and training. On this occasion, Cuu Long University awarded 12 students with high achievements in scientific research movement.

Over 25 years of construction and development, Cuu Long University has trained and awarded degrees to nearly 38,000 bachelors, engineers, pharmacists and nearly 1,200 masters. In addition, the school has received and trained nearly 700 international students, contributing to training high-quality human resources for the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Kingdom of Cambodia. According to recent statistics, the rate of students having jobs after graduation is about 97%.
