People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics wants to open Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy T07

VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy and 19-8 Hospital ( Ministry of Public Security ) will cooperate to help the People's Police University of Engineering and Logistics open Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy T07.

Major General, Dr. Le Minh Thao, Principal of the People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics (T07), said that the Minister of Public Security has a policy to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for officers and soldiers in the industry. On that basis, this unit wishes to establish the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy T07, with the help of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Hospital 19-8.

Major General Le Minh Thao, Principal of the T07 People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics, spoke at the signing ceremony between VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy and 19-8 Hospital.

The above statement was made by Major General Le Minh Thao yesterday, March 12, when witnessing the signing ceremony of cooperation between VNU University and 19-8 Hospital. Accordingly, T07 is working on a project to train human resources for the industry. If the project is approved, T07 will train at VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy and practice at 19-8 Hospital.

This cooperation will help improve the quality and quantity of the police force's medical staff. Major General Thao also expressed his hope that the school and hospital will support T07 to soon open the T07 Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in the near future.

One of the bases for the plan to open the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy T07 to become feasible is the cooperative relationship between VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hospital 19-8. Hospital 19-8 has proposed that the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies soon have a special mechanism to be able to appoint lecturers of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy to work concurrently at the hospital, helping to promote closer cooperation with the school.

Professor Le Ngoc Thanh, Principal of VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy, affirmed that the school will cooperate with Hospital 19-8 to develop resources, improve expertise and medical quality.

It is known that in 2025, the Ministry of Public Security assigned T07 to enroll 250 students, including 50 students (45 male, 5 female) for medical university training at the Military Medical Academy - Ministry of National Defense. T07 wishes to have more medical training quotas at VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy and is waiting for the Ministry of Public Security's approval.
