Saigon University issued a new notice on considering the test scores to assess capacity.

Today (July 28), Saigon University has just issued the latest announcement on the implementation of equivalent conversion for the admission method using the results of the capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

According to this announcement, on July 23, the school issued Notice 1049 on the lack of basis to convert the admission method using the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam to the admission method using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam for the school's admission majors using the original admission combination of A00 (math-physics-chemistry) and C00 (literature-history-geography).

However, on July 28, Ho Chi Minh City National University issued Official Dispatch No. 263 on supplementing the equivalent percentile table of the capacity assessment test scores for the two admission combinations of the high school method, which are A00 and C00. Therefore, according to today's announcement, Saigon University said that it has enough basis and will perform the equivalent conversion between the two methods above for the school's admission majors that use the capacity assessment method with the original admission combinations being A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), C00 (literature, history, geography), C01 (math, literature, physics), D01 (math, literature, English), and at the same time withdrawing Notice No. 1049.

Previously, Saigon University announced that it would not convert the admission method using the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam to the admission method using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam for admission majors with the original combination of A00 and C00. The reason is that there is not enough basis to convert the equivalent because the equivalence percentile table between the capacity assessment score and the high school graduation exam score announced by Ho Chi Minh City National University does not have an equivalent conversion for the combination of A00 and C00. With this regulation, 5 majors of the school do not use the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment method for admission, including: history, geography, information - library science, applied mathematics, data science (excluding teacher training majors that the school announced not to consider the scores of the capacity assessment exam from the beginning).

Thus, with this new announcement, candidates can use the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam scores to apply for admission to all majors of the school (except for teacher training majors).
