At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia said that Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW identifies viewpoints, goals, tasks, and breakthrough solutions for education and training development on the basis of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW and Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the 13th Politburo .

To effectively implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested: Firstly, it is necessary to continue to research, thoroughly grasp and propagate so that Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW goes deep into the awareness of the entire political system and society, creating a strong change in thinking, will and determination to act from the Central to local levels and university education institutions. Party committees, agencies and university education institutions, especially the team of education managers, teachers, experts and scientists need to firmly grasp the core guiding viewpoints, strategic goals, tasks and breakthrough solutions set out in the resolution. Only on the basis of a full, comprehensive and profound understanding of the contents of the resolution can we implement the resolution to ensure it is truly correct, accurate, creative and effective.

At the workshop, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City National University, said that Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo conveyed a strong and clear message that breakthrough in university education development is the core foundation for developing highly qualified human resources, leading research, technology and innovation. This is not only an orientation, but also a historical command and a common aspiration of the country in the era of national development.

In that context, according to Prof. Dr. Thanh Mai, Ho Chi Minh City National University is deeply aware of its pioneering role and mission and its development strategy for the 2021-2030 period is always linked to the strategic goals set by the Party and the State. In particular, Resolution 71 is not only a guideline but also a foundation to create a strong impetus to help Ho Chi Minh City National University accelerate on the chosen journey, towards the goal of being in the Top 100 universities in Asia by 2030.
