Saigon University and Ho Chi Minh City Bank announce minimum admission scores

Saigon University said that the admission score is the total exam score (3 subjects in the admission combination) plus priority points for subjects and regions (if any). The admission score is converted to a 30-point scale and the maximum is 30 points.

Admission threshold according to the admission method using the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam (without multiplying the main subject coefficient). Specifically as follows :

* Majors not in the teacher training group:

* Majors in the teacher training group: The threshold for ensuring input quality for mathematics pedagogy (7140209): 24.5 points; English pedagogy (7140231): 23 points; the remaining majors are equal to the threshold for ensuring input quality according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on determining the threshold for ensuring input quality for the group of university-level teacher training majors and college-level preschooleducation majors in 2024.

Saigon University also noted that for teacher training majors, if candidates have an English subject that uses the results of converting international English certificates into admission scores according to the school's regulations, the total score of the remaining 2 subjects in the admission combination + 2/3 priority points (if any) must reach at least 2/3 of the 2024 entrance threshold for the corresponding teacher training majors announced by the Ministry of Education and Training; for preschool education, music pedagogy and fine arts pedagogy majors, the literature score or math score in the admission combination + 1/3 priority points (if any) must reach at least 1/3 of the 2024 entrance threshold for the corresponding teacher training majors announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.

With the method of using the results of the 2024 computer-based university entrance exam (V-SAT), the lowest floor score is 240, the highest is 315 (without multiplying the main subject coefficient). Specifically:

Saigon University said that the admission score is the total exam score (the total score of 3 subjects in each admission combination of each major) plus priority points for subjects and regions (if any). The admission score is converted to a 450-point scale. The literature subject score (taken from the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam) in the admission combinations (if any) is converted from a 10-point scale to a 150-point scale.

- Total exam score converted to 450 scale is calculated as follows:

+ For admission combinations without major subjects:

Total exam score = Subject 1 score + Subject 2 score + Subject 3 score.

+ For admission combinations with main subjects:

Total exam score = (Main subject score × 2 + Total score of the remaining 2 subjects) × ¾.

Saigon University notes that candidates are eligible for admission when:

+ Registered the results of the university entrance exam on the computer for admission in the 2024 regular university admission on the school's website: https://tuyensinh.sgu.edu.vn before 5:00 p.m. on June 15, 2024 and registered admission wishes on the general admission information portal of the Ministry of Education and Training or on the national public service portal (from July 18, 2024 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024);

+ Have enough exam scores of 3 subjects in the admission combinations of the registered major. For the literature subject (if any) in the admission combinations, the admission score is taken from the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Teacher training majors do not recruit using this method.

On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University announced the minimum admission score based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Accordingly, the common minimum score for all majors/training programs is 18 (30-point scale), including priority admission points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (for English language majors, special programs and standard regular programs, English subject is multiplied by a coefficient of 2 and converted to a 30-point scale).

For the international bachelor's program with a partner's degree (registration code 7340003), the admission method: Review of academic records and interviews (not applicable to the method of reviewing the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam), the school continues to accept applications for admission and interviews at the school. Candidates who have received early admission results must still re-register on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024.

In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking will reserve about 35-45% of the total admission quota based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.
