(NLĐO) - Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will organize the 2026 specialized competency assessment exam in March and May 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced that the specialized competency assessment exam will be held in four locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang , Tay Ninh, and Dak Lak. The third phase will only take place in Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh.

Candidates can register for one or more subjects, depending on their needs. The results will be used for admission consideration in combination with academic transcripts or aptitude test scores. The aptitude test is the main subject, with a weighting factor of 2.

The exam fees for mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology are 300,000 VND each, while for Literature it is 400,000 VND, and English is the highest at 700,000 VND.

The exam closely follows the 2018 general education curriculum, with approximately 70-80% of the content covering 12th-grade knowledge, and the remainder covering 10th and 11th-grade knowledge. Candidates take the exam on computers, with 90 minutes allotted for each subject.

Eight other universities use this score for admissions, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Hanoi Pedagogical University, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, and pedagogical schools under Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, and Vinh University.
