On the afternoon of July 15, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a graduation ceremony and awarded degrees to new doctors, bachelors, and pharmacists.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet An, Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, congratulated the new graduates this time. At the same time, he expected the new graduates to apply the knowledge and understanding they learned at the school, thereby being creative and quick to apply them to solve practical challenges in the medical field; maintaining the spirit of "Intelligence - Medical Ethics - Creativity", taking advantage of opportunities from digital transformation to research and apply advanced medical solutions.
This time, there were 1,560 graduates from the following undergraduate training majors: Medicine, Dentistry, Traditional Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Public Health; and especially the first course of Medical Imaging Technology. Thereby, contributing to supplementing high-quality medical human resources for the Mekong Delta region and the whole country.
After 23 years of establishment and 46 years of development, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has affirmed its position with 12 undergraduate majors, 88 postgraduate majors and 90 continuous training programs. In the past 5 years, nearly 2,000 students have graduated each year.
In 2025, the school will be ranked 49th among Vietnamese universities, top 3 in health sciences and 245th in the top 500 universities in Southeast Asia according to Webometrics.
Previously, on July 12, the school also held a graduation ceremony for 587 new medical doctors of the school.
