The 'AI Principal' also helps Mr. Tom Rogerson provide advice to support staff and students with ADHD (attention deficit disorder) and develop school policies. Accordingly, the AI Robot Abigail Bailey works like ChatGPT - an online AI service where users enter questions and receive responses generated by the chatbot's algorithm.

In a statement to The Telegraph, Mr Tom Rogerson confirmed that the 'AI principal' has expertise in machine learning andeducation management.

Abigail Bailey also possesses the ability to analyze big data, and is Mr. Tom Rogerson's right-hand man in providing guidance and advice by answering requests such as: Drafting regulations, setting standards, education quality policies...

However, Mr. Tom Rogerson still emphasized the importance of humans, because 'AI principals' will not be able to replace management work. "Being a leader is a very lonely job. Of course, I still have colleagues to support me. However, if I have a 'friend' who is always ready to help me at all times, I will feel more secure," said Mr. Tom Rogerson.

In addition to Abigail Bailey as 'chief AI officer', the school has also appointed chatbot Jamie Trainer as 'head of AI'. Jamie Rainer is a highly trained innovation consultant who will assist the school in planning and strategy.

Both the 'AI principal' and 'AI department head' create their own 3D facial avatars to facilitate communication with users.

The appointment of the AI robot as 'principal' and the chatbot as 'head of department' comes after Cottesmore School embraced technology in education. The school had previously been looking for a head of AI to integrate technology into the curriculum and support teachers in reducing their workload.

Currently, the school is also promoting the application of AI in teaching, allowing students to use personal AI assistants to learn advanced learning methods.

Tom Rogerson's interest in AI was sparked by ChatGPT. He believes that students should learn to collaborate with AI and Robots. This is an important skill for the future.

Explaining the appointment of AI to important positions in schools, Mr. Tom Rogerso said: "Disruptive technologies are helping schools move towards a new educational future while still preserving the core values of traditional education."

He stressed that the application of AI is not to replace teachers, but to enhance their capacity and ensure students receive the best education.
