IGC Tay Ninh Secondary and High School: Seminar on IELTS exam for secondary and high school students

Attending the event were Mr. Ly Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Departmentof Education and Training; Ms. Le Huyen Linh - Manager of British Council International Exam Program Development; representative of IGC Education Group; School Board of Directors along with more than 200 secondary and high school students and parents in the province.

The seminar program introduces the importance of IELTS certificate in the growing trend of global integration in our country. In particular, after March 2025, all IELTS tests in Vietnam will be 100% computer-based: promoting the application of information technology, saving paper and ink, being environmentally friendly and quickly returning results.

During the program, delegates and students learned about and experienced the convenience of the IELTS exam on computers. At the same time, students participated in the IELTS exam experience with the guidance of experts from the British Council, including 2 parts: Reading and Listening.

The workshop helped middle and high school students access professional IELTS study and test programs; opened up a modern learning environment, promoting the English learning movement in the province.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is one of the most popular and famous language assessment tests in the world . This is a system of tests on English proficiency in all four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The test is jointly administered by the University of Cambridge ESOL, the British Council and IDP Education Australia, and has been running since 1989. IELTS is accepted by most academic institutions in Australia, the UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the US and many professional organisations.

In Vietnam, IELTS certificate used to assess the English proficiency of those who wish to study or work in an English-speaking environment. This is also a foreign language certificate that many young Vietnamese people are interested in and strive to achieve. Most candidates are students who want to continue their education abroad and those who seek to start a business abroad.
