T&T Group and JTA cooperate to develop Disneyland Sports Complex and Park in Hanoi

T&T Group and JTA signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in researching and developing a multi-purpose sports complex and Disneyland-style amusement park project with a total expected investment of up to US$4.5 billion in Dong Anh district, Hanoi. This will be the first international-standard stadium and Disneyland in Vietnam. On October 31st, in Doha, Qatar, leaders of T&T Group and JTA (Qatar) met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to report on the plan to research and invest in a multi-purpose sports complex meeting international standards and a themed park/amusement park (modeled after Disneyland) in Dong Anh district, Hanoi. At the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the investment plan, noting that Hanoi, with a population of approximately 10 million, currently lacks a world-class, iconic sports complex. The Prime Minister hopes that the construction of this complex will contribute to meeting the needs of the people of Hanoi, but its operation needs to be efficient with accompanying services to ensure long-term sustainability.

In the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, T&T Group and JTA Group exchanged a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in researching and investing in the development of a multi-purpose sports complex meeting international standards and a themed park/amusement park (modeled after Disneyland). Accordingly, the project covers a total area of ​​330 hectares, with an estimated total investment of approximately US$4.5 billion, comprising two main components: a sports complex and a themed park. Specifically, the research focuses on building an Olympic-standard sports complex with an estimated total investment of approximately US$1.3 billion, including international-standard sports facilities, highlighted by a modern and world-class stadium. The research also focuses on building a themed park and amusement complex with a total investment of approximately US$3.2 billion, including themed parks and amusement areas modeled after the world- famous Disneyland. The project will become the largest Disneyland in Vietnam and a leading entertainment destination for people in the country and the region. According to the signed agreement, JTA will be primarily responsible for arranging financing and capital for the project's implementation. T&T Group will collaborate with JTA to propose and select consultants, research ideas, plan, design, manage operations, and complete all legal procedures in accordance with Vietnamese and international law. According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, the goal of the cooperation between T&T Group and JTA is to research and develop a modern, world-class sports and entertainment complex based on successful models implemented worldwide. This complex will apply advanced and modern technologies; green technologies, meeting the standards for organizing Olympic-standard sports competitions, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnam and its people in the region and internationally.
