From June 13, Nghi Son Thermal Power Plant has an additional 7 million kWh of electricity for the North.

According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade , after Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant, Nghi Son Thermal Power Plant will have an additional 7 million kWh per day on June 13 when the company's unit 1 completes troubleshooting work.

Specifically, Mr. Vo Manh Ha, Director of Nghi Son Thermal Power Company (Power Generation Corporation 1) - the unit managing and operating Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant, said that Unit 1 of the Plant had an incident on June 5. It is expected that on June 13, the repair and equipment inspection will be completed to be ready for operation, contributing to providing the Northern grid with an additional 7 million kWh per day, reducing the pressure of the power shortage currently occurring in the Northern region.

According to this person, immediately after unit 1 had an accident, the company mobilized all the factory's human resources and external support service units to carry out repairs.

As of June 10, Nghi Son Thermal Power Company has basically completed the repair work and will carry out furnace cleaning to avoid ash accumulation.

On June 11, the company will inspect and re-weld the pipelines, and inspect the entire steam generation system to be ready for the unit to resume operation on June 13.

“Regarding fuel supply for production, the current amount of coal in stock and the amount of coal supplied by TKV according to the contract are guaranteed, so fuel for production is no longer a major issue at present,” said Mr. Vo Manh Ha.

Previously, information from Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant, after a temporary shutdown for repairs this morning (June 10), unit S2 was restarted and the electricity output supplied to the North will reach 13 million kWh/day.

Thus, from June 13, after the two units of Nghi Son Thermal Power Plant and Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant are put into operation, they will provide the Northern power grid with an additional 20 million kWh per day.
