My Long Sea Worship Festival is a long-standing traditional festival, taking place from the 10th to the 12th of the 5th lunar month every year.
This is not only an opportunity for people to express their gratitude to the sea but also an opportunity to connect the community, preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the nation.
The My Long sea worshiping festival includes many important rituals such as: Pre-lecture; worshiping soldiers and worshiping the God of Agriculture; Nghinh Ong; sending off ships;... The ritual of worshiping the ancestors is a ritual to show gratitude to the ancestors who reclaimed land, established villages, and founded the offshore fishing profession.
Nghinh Ong, worshiping the sea god is one of the important rituals of the My Long sea worship festival. Fishermen prepare a full offering tray with offerings such as sticky rice, chicken, roast pig, incense, lamps, and fruit.

Tra Vinh announced the completion of housing support for poor and near-poor households.
Every year, My Long fishermen build a new small boat with the registration number and year clearly written on the hull, decorate the boat with colorful colors, display all kinds of offerings and perform the ritual of letting the boat drift out to sea.
The My Long sea worshiping festival is meant to express the gratitude of Tra Vinh fishermen to the sea; pray for favorable weather, good fishing, abundant shrimp and fish, and a prosperous and happy life.

The My Long Sea Worship Festival was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2013. The festival's activities aim to introduce and promote the traditional cultural beauty of the nation to domestic and foreign tourists.
