The contest to learn about the city's history is a practical activity to propagate andeducate the glorious revolutionary historical tradition of the Party Committee, army and people of Hai Phong; at the same time, it contributes to arousing pride, patriotism and the will to contribute in the young generation of the Port City today.
After 5 weeks of implementing the online preliminary round, the contest attracted more than 21,000 union members and young people to participate, demonstrating the interest and affection of the city's youth for the historical milestones of their homeland.
Notably, nearly 9,000 candidates answered 30/30 questions correctly, demonstrating the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and education work on traditions among union members and youth.

In the final round, the 4 best teams were selected from the units with the largest number of participants and the highest results, including: Ngo Quyen District Youth Union (5,072 entries), Hai Phong University Youth Union (4,314 entries), Hai An District Youth Union (2,852 entries) and Vietnam Maritime University Youth Union (2,680 entries).
The teams went through 3 rounds: Greeting, multiple choice and presentation. Each round was designed to be lively and attractive, testing historical knowledge while also requiring creativity, thinking ability, stage presence and team spirit of the young people.

In particular, the presentation contest is an opportunity for teams to express the perspectives and emotions of today's young generation about events, characters, and historical marks in the 70-year journey of building and developing Hai Phong city.
Each story is conveyed by the teams in diverse and creative forms, from storytelling, eloquence to stage performance, creating a vibrant and meaningful atmosphere.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hai Phong City, said that the contest is a meaningful activity, creating an intellectual playground for union members and young people of the city; at the same time, it is an opportunity for Hai Phong youth to review the glorious historical tradition, foster national pride, love for the homeland and country.
Through that, young people understand and love the heroic Port more, fostering their will and aspiration to contribute to the sustainable, modern and civilized development of the city in the new era.
The historical research contest with the theme “70 years of Hai Phong Liberation Day” is not only a traditional educational activity, but also demonstrates the intelligence, bravery and aspiration of the young generation to contribute, continuing the precious historical values left by their ancestors, contributing to building Hai Phong to be increasingly rich, civilized and modern.

In the final result, the team of Vietnam Maritime University won the first prize. The second prize belonged to Hai An District Youth Union, while Ngo Quyen District Youth Union and Hai Phong University Youth Union shared the third prize.
The Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates and prizes to the first prize winners in the online competition weeks.
