Mr. Pham Van U, in Lang Mang village, Ba Dinh commune (Ba To), has just moved into a new, spacious house. As a war invalid, Mr. U has a difficult economic situation and his house is in disrepair. Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Mr. U was supported with 60 million VND to rebuild his dilapidated house to stabilize his life. The reason Mr. U's house was completed so quickly is thanks to the joint efforts and drastic participation of the local political system, especially the volunteer spirit of union members and young people.

In the joy of the new house, Mr. U shared that despite the unfavorable weather, prolonged rain and cold, the youth union members in the commune did not mind the difficulties, joined hands to transport materials, build foundations, roof tiles... to help me complete the house soon. I am very happy with the care and attention of the authorities at all levels, and the local youth to help me have my dream house and stabilize my life.
Mr. Pham Van Sam is a member of the Youth Union and also a construction worker in Ba Dinh commune. Recently, Mr. Sam has participated in supporting local households in building houses. Mr. Sam shared that joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a very humane policy. As a young man, I also contribute a little effort to help households reduce difficulties and reduce some of the costs to build houses more conveniently.

Since before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the Youth Union of Ba Dinh commune has carried out 10 campaigns, with the participation of nearly 70 Youth Union members joining hands to help households build houses. Secretary of the Youth Union of Ba Dinh commune Pham Van Quyet said that the Youth Union of the commune continues to mobilize the Youth Union members to participate in supporting working days for the remaining households in the villages to ensure the progress set out, helping households soon have stable housing.
Ba To district was selected by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee as a pilot to implement the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. Currently, all youth union organizations of 19 communes and towns in the district have established volunteer youth teams; organized dozens of campaigns to support people to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Ba To district has a total of 568 houses in need of support for new construction and repair, with a total cost of more than 29 billion VND. Up to now, Ba To has completed the construction of 287 new houses and repaired 110 houses. This result has the contribution of volunteer youth teams of Ba To district and the Youth Union of the Provincial Police, Provincial Border Guard... Thereby contributing to helping Ba To district soon complete the goal of eliminating all temporary and dilapidated houses before March 10, 2025.
Promoting the spirit of "Where there is a need, there is a youth, where there is difficulty, there is a youth", the Youth Union of Hanh Dung commune (Nghia Hanh) organized 2 campaigns to support working days to help repair houses for 4 Hre households in Trung My village with degraded houses. Mr. Dinh Van Co, in Trung My village, said, recently, the Youth Union in the commune helped my family repaint the house. My family is very excited and remembers the hearts of the young people.

Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, all commune and town unions in Nghia Hanh district have deployed many volunteer youth teams, directly following the grassroots, supporting working days to help localities build and repair houses. "Local youth have carried out 120 campaigns, contributing to the completion of repairing 43 houses for households in difficult circumstances. In the coming time, the district's youth union will continue to deploy tasks to join hands with communes and towns to build new houses for poor households," said Secretary of Nghia Hanh District Youth Union Bui Anh Tri.
The Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province organized a launching ceremony to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in all levels of the Youth Union in Ba Cung commune (Ba To). At the same time, the organization signed a commitment to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025 of 13 district Youth Union units and 6 affiliated Youth Union units. Up to now, all levels of the Youth Union have deployed 115 volunteer youth teams to participate in supporting working days; supporting the repair of 242 temporary houses and 21 dilapidated houses. In addition, the Youth Union of the Provincial Border Guard, the Provincial Police, the Youth Union of Pham Van Dong University, and the University of Finance and Accounting supported over 33 million VND in funding and working days to build houses in Ba To district. |
With a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm, the Youth Union in localities has contributed thousands of working days to dismantle temporary and dilapidated houses, transport construction materials, build house foundations, roof, repair and reinforce degraded houses... In addition, the Youth Union bases have actively mobilized social resources, called for the support of the community, to join the province in completing the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. The spirit of not being afraid of rain, sun, and hardship of the youth in the province has brought smiles and happiness to hundreds of poor households when they have decent houses.
